How often would you mow our lawn?
It is best for the health of your lawn to keep the blades at optimum height, never cutting more than 1/3 of the blade. In the summer months, with an irrigation system the southern grasses typically need to be cut weekly. Without irrigation many yards can be cut bi'weekly or even monthly. Our crews are trained to look at the yards and determine whether it should be done or it should be cut the following week.

How many times a year can we expect our lawn to be cut?
With irrigation, lawns typically need mowing 26-28 times per season. Without irrigation they generally need to bme mowed 15 to 18 times per year. Yards without irrigation have a higher tendency to be weedy, which generally grow faster than grass under drier condtions. These lawns generally need mowing into the winter.

How much water does my lawn need?
In the summer months, southern lawns need about 1 to 1 1/2 inches of water per week. In the winter they need 1 to 1 1/2 inches per month. In a typical winter season, we get that much rainfall, and irrigation can be turned off in December, and turned back on in late March. We will control the irrigation for you.

How can I check my irrigation for the amount it is producing?
Before running your irrigation, place some tuna cans around your yard. After your irrigation has run through its cycles, measure the amount of water in the cans. Multiply that amount by the number of times your irrigation is running each week. Deep waterings less frequently are best for your yard, but FIPSD restrictions may have to be factored in.

FAQ #5?
It is best to water in the early morning. Deep, less frequent watering is best. Including rainfall, your yard may get more than necessary. A rain gauge can be installed in conjunction with your irrigation timer, so the irrigation will not come on if there has been an inch of rain within the previous few days. Rain gauges cost about $60.00 installed.

Also, regulating your irrigation according to the season is helpful. We adjust our customers' irrigation systems according to the season to minimize water waste and diseases.

How do you bill us?
We send statements via email or post office mail at the end of each month. The statements are detailed out by date, task performed and amount charged for the task. Additional notes may be madeJor your information when necessary. In the meantime, if there is a problem or question, we will call or email you to keep you informed.

Do you clean for rental homes or residents?
We do clean some houses on the rental market. We limit how many we will commit to cleaning on Saturdays and Sundays because of the number of people that it takes to meet the deadlines and our commitment to quality. We always take new customers who are absentee homeowner that typically need housekeeping when they leave the island.

How do you charge for housekeeping?
Because the housekeeping for absentee homeowners varies depending on whether the homeowner has guests or they stay in their house for a quick week end getaway, we charge hourly according to our time spent. We will also do a comprehensive cleaning looking for accumulation of dirt hidden places, like under cushions and furniture, baseboards, etc.

For rental cleaning we charge according to a set rate for that particular size house so the customer knows what they will be charged for their income producing home.

Do you take special requests for home maintenance?
Yes, we understand that as an absentee homeowner at times you will have unusual requests. You can solve your question of who to ask when you are our customer. There are very few things we will say "no" to.

Do you pick up trash?
We are not interested in being in the trash business. However, occasionally, trash companies fail to pick up trash. Under exceptional conditions, we will take care of your trash for you.
